🍁Fall Inspired Natural Play Dough 🍪Cookie Cutter DIY Craft
11/02/2017
Who said that 🍪 cookie-cutters are just for baking? How about creating a 🍁 nature-inspired craft with🍂 treasures we have found during our nature walks like leaves, pine cones, and acorns. And we will be using the 🌽 corn kernels too.
We are using natural play dough (buy here) which is made from wheat flour and colored with all natural pigments.
After learning that the leaf gradually loses chlorophyll, revealing its beautiful graduated under-color, Adrian decided to layer different colors of play-dough over each other to create a multi-color effect.
Tonging corn kernels is a great exercise to develop fine-motor control.
Children then enjoyed making leaves by layering play dough and drawing midribs and veins. This was a true nature-inspired invitation to create!
Julia decided to make a "Happy Fall" card utilizing all the play-dough leaves she made.
Adrian made a card too.
