DIY Easter 🐣 Egg Ornaments Foam Sticker Craft
04/16/2017
This is a very simple 🐣Easter inspired craft for children. All you need for this 🐣egg-ornament DIY is matching foam egg stickers and strings. During this activity, a child will promote his/her fine-motor skills as precision and patience are required to peel off the backing and attach strings. Also, a child will practice color matching in a process of finding the matching halves.
First, Adrian had to find a matching egg pair, then peel both backs off, attach the string, and stick to two egg-halves together.
It was a little tricky for Adrian to peel off the backs as they are very sticky, but he figured that attaching the half of the egg to the plate should help.
Decorating eggs for Easter is a tradition that dates back to at least XIII-th century. Eggs were formerly a forbidden food during the Lenten season, so people would paint and decorate them to mark the end of the period of fasting, and then eat them on Easter as a celebration. The "egg" is also an ancient symbol of new life and it has been associated with pagan festivals celebrating spring for thousands of years.
